| Mollie Sullivan, LM, CPM
Mollie is a passionate, loving, and knowledgeable midwife who thoroughly enjoys serving women and families. Mollie, now a Licensed Midwife, began training for this profession as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley. In 2003 she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Biology with an emphasis in Human Biology. After graduation, she trained as a doula and attended her first birth…what a magical experience! Mollie served Bay Area families for two years as a doula before beginning midwifery training at Seattle Midwifery School in 2005. Seattle Midwifery School is a 3-year MEAC (Midwifery Education Accreditation Council) accredited program that prepares midwives for licensure and practice. During these three years, Mollie excelled both academically and in practical training. Mollie was blessed to serve as an apprentice to Mason Cornelius for six months during her first year at Seattle Midwifery School, after which time she moved to Seattle. Spending two years in Seattle, Mollie completed school and 2 more apprenticeships in high volume practices. For additional training, Mollie spent six weeks in a rural hospital in Nepal acting as both a midwife and doing well-woman care at the hospital clinic. Upon completion of school, Mollie had worked as a midwife in homes, birth centers, and hospitals, had trained with 9 different midwives, and had attended births of almost 130 families! Mollie has now moved back home to the Bay Area where Nova Midwifery has lovingly welcomed her as a midwife. She is excited to work again with Mason and to facilitate the growth and well being of mothers and babies. Mollie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking with her 2 dogs, knitting, and enjoying the splendors of nature. |
